Is Valentine's Day A Holiday?

Valentine's Day
is celebrated every year
by millions of people, all over the world.

It is a joyous and a happy day for lovers.

It is a day of celebration.

One must ask,
"Why has Valentine's Day never been declared a holiday?"

No one really seems to have an answer for that.

But then maybe no one has ever asked Stardust Cupid.

About Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is often referred to
as Saint Valentine's Day,
or St. Valentine's Day.

It may also be called simply Valentine Day.

Traditionally,
it is recognized as the day,
when a special gift or a greeting of some kind,
is given to a sweetheart.

This way the sweetheart is acknowledged
as being chosen,
by the giver of the gift or the greeting.

At the very least,
the recipient is complimented.

A valentine may be simply a greeting
sent on Valentine's Day.

This tradition dates back to the 14th century AD.

The Big Picture

Cupid appears to surface on Valentine's Day,
which falls of February 14th every year.

Eros seems to be a part of everyone's everyday life,
at least to some extent.

God, as Love, is always present, everywhere.

Where does Stardust Cupid fit into the picture?

What Do I Do?

Then, there was the inevitable question.

"What do you do for a living?"

Stunned, Stardust Cupid waited for a moment or two,
and then he smiled ever so sweetly.

"What do I do for a living?"

"I knew that somebody was going to ask me that someday!"

"Why don't you ask me
how I knew that you were the one
who was going to ask me that?"

"Then, maybe I will tell you what I do for a living,
or maybe I won't."

"What do you do for a living?"

"Next."

Where Do I Live?

Not too long ago,
someone was bold enough to ask Stardust Cupid
"Where do you live?"

To this, he cautiously replied,
"Where do I live?"

"This is a very personal question
and I am not certain that I should answer it for you,
but I will."

"Look really deep, within the depths of your heart
and if you cannot find me there,
look deeper yet."

"When you find me, you will know."

"Did I ask you where you live?"

"Next?"

How Old Am I?

"How old are you?"
Stardust Cupid was asked many years ago.

"How old am I?" he replied.

"Now you are asking me a really hard question."

"The reality is this.
I am absolutely certain that I was born sometime,
but I think it might have been
a long before time was first calculated by human beings."

"Now if you can tell me,
when humankind started trying to figure out time,
then I might be able to tell you how old I am."

"Does that answer your question?"

"Next?"

What Do I Know...

As history records it,
there were those who were very curious about
Stardust Cupid.

Once upon a time,
a young person asked him,
"What do you know about your ancestors?"

"What do I know about my ancestors?
Not very much!"
Stardust Cupid was heard to say.

"I have been told
that everyone has to have forefathers somewhere," he continued.

"And know that what worked for them
will still work for me.
I can feel it!"

And thus the Stardust Cupid admirers
began to realize an affection for him
that even surpassed
their love for Cupid, of times gone by.
